A law firm in Champaign is currently seeking an Attorney with 0-10 years of medical malpractice defense experience. The ideal candidate should hold a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and possess an active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license in good standing. The Attorney will be responsible for providing legal representation in medical malpractice defense cases. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare law and the ability to navigate complex legal issues.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on medical malpractice cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
• Collaborate with clients, witnesses, and experts to build a strong defense strategy.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on medical malpractice matters.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in the healthcare industry.
• Attend depositions and participate in discovery processes.
