The candidate will provide day-to-day legal advice through research and contract drafting and review to Health First, Inc. Integrated Delivery Network (“IDN”). Provide direct service and legal advice to all departments across the IDN. Prepare, revise, edit, and draft all types of contracts that an IDN deals with on a daily basis. Prepare legal opinions on health law and health plan related matters in a timely fashion. Research as requested by the System Vice President, Associate, General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer as well as the Senior Counsel when needed. 5. Oversee work performed by a Senior Corporate Paralegal and a Contracts Analyst in the absence of the System Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer and the Senior Counsel. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all matters, contracts, and advice completed and given. Keep abreast and up-to-date on all legal and regulatory changes impacting an IDN. Prepare and revise amendments to Bylaws and other corporate documents. 9. Provide timely responses in order to delight all customers within the IDN. Provide efficient customer service to continue the advancement of business objectives from all customers. Willingness to work after hours as needed in order to provide the needed services to customers. Perform other duties as assigned and requested by the System Vice President, Associate General Counsel, and Chief Privacy Officer. Juris Doctor required. Currently barred (and never been suspended or expelled) by a state within the United States and able to become Authorized Counsel in Florida. 6 months in-house legal, compliance, or regulatory affairs within an IDN or 1 year of law firm experience in healthcare. Knowledge of court rules and procedures, Federal and Florida Statutes and regulations applicable to the health care industry, general contract terms and clauses, real estate terms and clauses, and legal terminology. Demonstrated experience in contract review and drafting. Superior relationship building, communication and organizational skills.
