Job Overview

A top-tier law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. The position focuses on energy transition financing matters and offers the opportunity to work on globally recognized projects, including novel financing transactions in the renewable energy space. The role can be based in any of the firm’s U.S. office locations.

Location

Duties

• Handle transactions involving financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies.
• Manage tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents for energy finance transactions.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on energy transition financing projects.
• Collaborate with teams and clients to execute high-value and innovative financing deals in the renewable energy sector.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
• Proven experience in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
• Strong analytical and legal writing skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and manage high-value transactions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of the respective office location.
