Conflicts Counsel
The candidate analyzes and resolves conflicts reviews for all new business requests and lateral attorney hires. Liaises with Recruiting team and Firm attorneys to obtain additional information, identify conflicts issues, and review and approve conflicts forms as needed. Communicates with lateral candidates to obtain complete and accurate client and related parties information to ensure completion of the conflicts review process. Works with the Lateral Partner Recruiting and Retention Partner, liaises with incoming lateral hires to assist with the transition of new business clients. Drafts and reviews ethical screens and conflict waivers. Maintains current knowledge of the American Bar Association (ABA) Model Rules of Professional Conduct and jurisdictional differences in all states in which the Firm conducts business. Monitors and maintains ABA and jurisdictional rules for changes and proposes new modifications to Firm policies and procedures as needed. Performs various special projects and other duties as requested by the Office of General Counsel. Juris Doctor or equivalent experience is required. Should preferably have 3+ years of prior experience in a law firm or other professional setting; preference given to those with law firm experience. Experience with conflicts analysis is preferred. Admission to the Bar in a jurisdiction is preferred.
