Pricing Manager

The candidate will manage operational aspects of pricing as part of the In-Market Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) set of activities, which includes advising and collaborating with billing attorneys, clients, and other Finance and Practice Group colleagues. Will help execute and implement standard processes and pricing frameworks as established by Specialist teams to simplify the overall Q2C process while meeting established profitability targets. Manage a team of Pricing Analysts and Coordinators to ensure best practices are implemented and adhered to. Delegate work across team to balance workloads ensuring all deadlines related to client proposal/analyses as well as routine maintenance are met. Seek to implement process improvements and efficiencies to optimize team performance. Address pricing-related escalations that are directed to the team and ensure critical items are prioritized. Facilitate execution of the Firm's pricing strategy and governance by embedding pricing guidance from global Specialist Functions into Quote-to-Cash processes within the local market, inclusive of change-oriented projects. Work closely with the Director of Pricing Strategy, Q2C Global Process Owner (GPO), and other governing bodies to ensure standard processes are being followed with respect to conducting sensitivity analyses, assisting with pricing proposals, documentation of pricing conditions, validating and auditing pricing set-ups in SAP, and conducting post-mortem analyses. Manage change and expectations when working with Partners and Clients to ensure all agreements fit within established standards while achieving appropriate balance between maximizing profits and providing discounts. Provide financial analyses to partners, business managers, and management in support of client rate agreements. Demonstrate strong understanding of all available and acceptable Alternative Fee Arrangements including Alternative Legal Solutions and products available within the Firm. Ensure all options are presented and discussed with Partners to improve our value proposition with clients. Conduct macro and micro analyses by geography, practice area, industry, etc. to assist with the annual rate increase process as well as client pricing renewal processes. Work closely with Q2C Business Partners to streamline intake, matter setup, and billing (including E-Billing) processes with the aim to reduce revenue leakage. Manage the transition of local systems, databases, or document libraries containing details of pricing agreements to the Firm's centralized Client Intake database. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required. Some management experience in a financial role, preferably in professional services environment required. Strong analytical skills required. Strong ability to lead, motivate and mentor staff personnel, inclusive of diligently addressing performance concerns and resolving conflict required. Proven ability to develop and convey to management and partners comprehensive financial information and analysis relative to business operations and strategies required. Proficiency in law firm operations, accounting and finance, with strong understanding of the elements of law firm profitability at practice group, service line, client, matter and attorney level required. Ability to readily comprehend business objectives and correspondingly develop and execute appropriate strategies required. Highly disciplined approach to developing and executing departmental objectives required. Well-developed and sophisticated organization, communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage relations at various levels within and outside an organization required. Proactive, innovative and results-oriented work orientation required. Commitment to perform responsibilities with high professional and ethical standards required.
