A respected law firm is seeking a midlevel Associate Attorney to join its Data Privacy and Cybersecurity practice group. This position is designed for an attorney with at least two years of experience in breach response and data privacy counseling. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of legal acumen, technical sophistication, and a collaborative mindset suited to a fast-paced, client-focused legal environment.

Location:

• West Palm Beach, FL

Duties:

• Provide counsel to clients on data breach response and notification obligations

• Advise on compliance with U.S. and international data protection regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA)

• Draft, review, and negotiate data protection agreements and privacy policies

• Support clients through cybersecurity incidents and regulatory investigations

• Conduct legal research and prepare memos on data privacy and cybersecurity issues

• Work closely with internal legal teams and external stakeholders to ensure legal and regulatory compliance

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing in the area of data privacy and cybersecurity law

• Demonstrated experience with breach response and privacy-related legal counseling

• Strong academic credentials

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

• Proficient knowledge of key privacy laws such as CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, and GLBA

• Ability to manage complex legal issues with a detail-oriented approach

• Strong legal drafting and research skills

• Technologically adept with an understanding of cybersecurity frameworks

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with clients and colleagues effectively
