Job Title: Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Mobile, AL, is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation / Insurance Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel, preparing legal documents, conducting research, and representing clients in hearings and legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
• Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel.
• Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
• Communicate with associate attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
• Maintain client files to ensure up-to-date information is available to other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 7 years of experience in insurance defense.
• 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Florida Bar Admission.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar Admission.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Must meet expectations for billing goals.
