Patent Paralegal

The candidate will be assisting with all aspects of patent prosecution for U.S. and international patent portfolios and litigation, including monitoring deadlines, preparing prosecution documents, conducting filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, communicating with foreign associates, and communicating with clients regarding prosecution and related matters and deadlines. Develop and maintain knowledge of Patent and Trademark Office Rules and Procedures (US and Foreign). Prepare patent and trademark application documents for filing and file documents as requested. Prepare litigation documents for filing and file documents as requested. Prepare formal documents, forward to clients for signature and file with various patent and trademark offices. Correspond with clients regarding the execution of formal documents. Monitor the IP docket for any due dates and work closely with the handling attorney and docketing staff to ensure all dates are docketed and attended to. Communicate with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office personnel regarding routine matters as directed. Should preferably have 3+ years relevant patent and trademark experience and an understanding of patent and trademark laws, regulations and procedures. Proficient with Microsoft Office desired. Preferred proficient in use of database management systems.
