Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Attorney in Dallas, TX, to join its team. The attorney will focus on litigation, mediations, depositions, and trial work, supported by paralegals for drafting, case preparation, and administrative tasks.

Duties

• Argue contested hearings, temporary orders, and trials.
• Lead mediations and adversarial negotiations.
• Take depositions and prepare witnesses.
• Review and revise motions and responses prepared by paralegals.
• Guide clients through testimony and court appearances using trauma-informed care.
• Draft and customize pleadings, discovery, and final orders as desired.
• Develop case strategy and exercise independent legal judgment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of direct family law experience.
• Experience with Texas family law litigation, negotiation, and case strategy.
• Active Texas law license or documented Texas reciprocity process.
• Strong legal judgment and attention to detail.
• Direct, respectful, and honest communication skills.
• Emotional intelligence and healthy professional boundaries.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute informed perspectives.

Education

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Texas Bar admission or documented eligibility through Texas reciprocity.
