Attorney Recruiting & Development Specialist
The candidate will assist in managing all aspects of the recruitment, hiring and integration of summer associates, and entry-level associates in the Washington D.C. and Charlotte offices. Execute law student, entry, and judicial clerk recruiting in the Washington, D.C. and Charlotte offices. Travel between office locations as needed. Assist and provide local support for national hiring initiatives and a variety of communication initiatives, including development and production of recruiting materials, gather research and maintain competitive data, as well as assist with programs and diversity initiatives to include the development of strategic marketing initiatives to attract top legal talent. Oversee and manage the registration the on-campus and in-office interview process for law students including execution of evening interview programs and receptions, coordination of target school offer dinners and individual student follow up. Develop and maintain positive relationships with various law school careers services personnel to facilitate the Firm’s recruiting efforts. Manage all aspects of the summer associate program, including attendance at summer program events and trainings, and representing firm on campus in hospitality suites at assigned schools Ensure the due diligence process for summer associate and entry-level associate candidates is completed. Track school sponsorship requests and work with senior manager and school captain/partner to create school specific strategic plans. Partner with Attorney Recruiting & Development Department and firm management, in addition to the associates, on issues related to associate lifecycle. Work with Human Resources and the Learning & Development team with orientation, onboarding, and integration process for entry level and lateral associates. Assist with survey preparation and report generation. Oversee and maintain the applicant tracking database to ensure data is entered and updated correctly and efficiently. Assist with preparing and maintaining an annual recruiting budget. Collaborate with Diversity & Inclusion Department on student recruiting initiatives. Provide support and assist with lateral associate recruiting as need. Work successfully as a team within the firm-wide Attorney Recruiting & Development department. Supervise department staff, including the Attorney Recruiting & Development Coordinator in Charlotte. Bachelor's Degree is required. Should have 4+ years of law firm recruiting experience. Experience supervising one or more support personnel is preferred.
