A distinguished law firm based in Corpus Christi, TX, is partnering with a legal recruitment agency to bring on board a motivated Intake Attorney focused on the early development of personal injury claims. This role centers on the thorough investigation and strategic positioning of cases during the intake process. Ideal for legal professionals looking to gain hands-on client interaction experience, manage an active pre-litigation docket, and directly influence case value outcomes.
Manage a docket of approximately 50 personal injury matters during the intake stage
Work closely with an assigned case manager to coordinate all aspects of early case development
Conduct fact-finding interviews with potential clients
Investigate and secure accident reports, photographs, and relevant scene documentation
Draft and send representation notices, obtain open records, and review driving histories
Assist clients with identifying and documenting medical damages
Handle property damage claims and maintain regular contact with clients and insurance adjusters
Draft monthly client updates and internal reports on file progression
Participate in initial client sign-ups, both remotely and in person
Ensure consistent communication through timely call-backs and updates
Prepare preliminary demand packages in select matters
Collaborate with internal leadership on case evaluations and transition to litigation teams
Fulfill occasional after-hours intake responsibilities on a rotating schedule
Active Texas law license and in good standing
0-3 years of experience in personal injury or related field
Familiarity with pre-litigation processes and claims development
Willingness to perform after-hours and out-of-office sign-ups as needed
Comfortable handling intake calls and establishing attorney-client relationships
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to the Texas Bar (required)
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage case timelines effectively
Solid interpersonal skills, particularly in client relations
Motivated self-starter with the ability to collaborate with team members
Fluent or conversational Spanish is a plus
Competent in legal research, analysis, and ethical standards
Customer service mindset, with experience in sales or intake preferred
Adept in using electronic signature tools and document management platforms
