Estates and Trusts Associate Attorney

A law firm in Towson, MD, is currently seeking an Estates and Trusts Associate Attorney. This partner-track position requires specific estates and trusts experience, strong computer skills or aptitude, and a valuable background in business, accounting, or other financial areas. The successful candidate will also demonstrate management experience or aptitude as the role involves supervising legal assistants performing estate and trust administration tasks, including probate filings, income, estate, and gift tax return preparation, property dispositions, and transfers.

Duties:

• Utilize specific estates and trusts experience to provide comprehensive legal support.
• Supervise legal assistants in the performance of estate and trust administration tasks.
• Handle probate filings, income, estate, and gift tax return preparation, property dispositions, and transfers.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills or develop aptitude as needed.
• Apply business, accounting, or other financial experience to enhance legal services.

Requirements:

• Specific experience in estates and trusts law is preferred.
• Strong computer skills or the aptitude to quickly learn and adapt.
• Business, accounting, or other financial experience is valuable.
• Management experience or aptitude for supervising legal assistants.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Maryland State Bar.

Skills:

• Specific experience in estates and trusts law.
• Strong computer skills or aptitude.
• Background in business, accounting, or other financial areas.
• Management experience or the ability to effectively supervise legal assistants.
