Duties:
Manage estate administration matters from initial consultation through final resolution
Conduct client consultations and maintain ongoing communication
Draft and review legal documents, including probate filings and estate planning instruments
Attend court hearings, client meetings, and professional engagements
Interact with judges, clerks, and opposing counsel in a respectful and professional manner
Collaborate with paralegals and other attorneys to ensure cases are handled efficiently
Maintain accurate case files in accordance with firm procedures and timelines
Track billable time and manage billing responsibilities
Requirements:
2–5 years of legal experience in estate administration, probate, or elder law
Ability to manage cases independently while working within a structured team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client empathy
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to deadlines and responsiveness
Adaptability to technology and workflow systems
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in the State of Tennessee
Skills:
Estate and trust administration
Probate court procedure
Legal drafting and document review
Client communication and relationship-building
Time and task management
Comfort with legal tech platforms such as Clio, Trello, Westlaw, Outlook, and Zoom
