This role involves managing probate, trust administration, and related elder law matters with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. Location:

  • Cookeville, Tennessee

Duties:

  • Manage estate administration matters from initial consultation through final resolution

  • Conduct client consultations and maintain ongoing communication

  • Draft and review legal documents, including probate filings and estate planning instruments

  • Attend court hearings, client meetings, and professional engagements

  • Interact with judges, clerks, and opposing counsel in a respectful and professional manner

  • Collaborate with paralegals and other attorneys to ensure cases are handled efficiently

  • Maintain accurate case files in accordance with firm procedures and timelines

  • Track billable time and manage billing responsibilities

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of legal experience in estate administration, probate, or elder law

  • Ability to manage cases independently while working within a structured team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client empathy

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Commitment to deadlines and responsiveness

  • Adaptability to technology and workflow systems

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Tennessee

Skills:

  • Estate and trust administration

  • Probate court procedure

  • Legal drafting and document review

  • Client communication and relationship-building

  • Time and task management

  • Comfort with legal tech platforms such as Clio, Trello, Westlaw, Outlook, and Zoom

  • Bilingual abilities (optional but a plus)
