A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves litigating complex and high-value tobacco cases, working under the guidance of lead counsel. The attorney will engage in all aspects of tobacco litigation, including pre-trial preparation, court appearances, motions, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and trials.

Duties

• Meet with clients and file lawsuits.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Schedule and attend fact witness depositions.
• Assist with retaining experts and attending expert depositions.
• Schedule and attend all hearings.
• Prepare for and attend mediations.
• Help prepare cases for trial and participate in trial.
• Assist with drafting and arguing pre-trial and summary judgment motions.

Requirements

• A license in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• Strong interest in tobacco litigation.
• Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, client-focused legal practice.
• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Analytical and research skills.
• A strong courtroom presence and eagerness to try cases.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
