Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Political Law Associate to join its Government Affairs and Public Policy practice group in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in political and election law, focusing on lobbying, public policy, campaign finance, government ethics, and non-profit law.

Duties

• Provide strategic counsel and compliance advice on political and election law matters.
• Advise clients on the Federal Election Campaign Act, Lobbying Disclosure Act, and related laws.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and compliance professionals to serve a diverse clientele.
• Maintain strong written and oral communication skills, organization, and teamwork.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in political and election law.
• Knowledge of federal and state pay-to-play laws is ideal.
• Active bar license in DC or ability to waive in immediately.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in Washington, D.C.
