Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a junior-level Bankruptcy Associate Attorney with at least two years of experience to join its Bankruptcy team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a law firm setting, advising secured and unsecured creditors, landlords, and other parties-in-interest. The position involves handling bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters, with an emphasis on real estate and complex financial transactions.

Location:

• Tysons Corner, VA

Duties:

• Advise secured and unsecured creditors, landlords, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy cases

• Handle complex commercial real estate disputes, foreclosures, and receivership proceedings

• Draft and negotiate loan documents and other transaction-related agreements

• Conduct due diligence review for finance transactions

• Assist in litigation matters related to bankruptcy and creditors’ rights

• Collaborate with partners on high-level bankruptcy and financial matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of bankruptcy experience in a law firm setting

• Strong understanding of bankruptcy law, creditors’ rights, and related litigation

• Experience with commercial real estate disputes and financial transactions preferred

• Excellent research, drafting, and negotiation skills

• Strong academic record and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in Washington, DC, or Virginia, depending on the office location

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
