Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in estate planning and probate & trust administration. This role offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively in a balanced, professional environment.

Duties

• Manage a full-time caseload of estate planning and probate & trust administration cases from intake to completion.
• Design, draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents, including Trusts, Wills, and Powers of Attorney.
• Advise fiduciaries in probate & trust administration cases.
• Participate in and lead client counseling meetings, providing practical legal guidance.
• Collaborate with referral partners, attorneys, paralegals, and support team to deliver exceptional client service.
• Contribute to ongoing projects to improve systems and client experience across practice areas.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Colorado Bar License in good standing or eligible for reciprocal admission.
• Three to five years of experience in estate planning and probate & trust administration preferred.
• Proficiency in distilling complex concepts into plain English for clients and professionals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and video conferencing platforms.
• Experience with cloud-based legal practice management and estate planning-specific software preferred.
• Organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable with technology.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Colorado Bar License in good standing or eligible for reciprocal admission.

Skills

• Ability to navigate sensitive topics with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong communication and client-service skills.
• Proficiency in legal drafting and document review.
