Job Overview:

The Litigation Construction Defense Associate Attorney will manage all aspects of construction defense litigation, including intake, review, discovery, mediation, and trial. The candidate will work closely with clients and opposing counsel, drafting legal motions, preparing for court proceedings and depositions.

Duties:

• Handle intake and review of construction defense cases
• Actively manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting requests, responses, and motions
• Prepare for mediation and trial proceedings
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel
• Conduct depositions and participate in court proceedings
• Draft legal motions and pleadings

Requirements:

• Valid Florida Bar license is required
• Previous experience in defense litigation is highly desirable
• Minimum of two years' experience in drafting legal motions, preparing for court proceedings and depositions, and communicating effectively with clients and opposing counsel

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Skills:

• Strong litigation skills, particularly in construction defense
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
