A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney with 8+ years of experience to join their Litigation Practice Group in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for an attorney with substantial experience in complex commercial litigation, particularly involving financial institutions, commercial real estate, and loan servicing disputes. Remote candidates, who are barred in and live in a state where the firm does business, may be considered.

Duties

• Lead and manage litigation teams in complex commercial matters in federal and state courts across the United States.
• Represent financial institutions in workouts of non-performing commercial real estate loans, forbearances, and discounted payoffs.
• Handle judicial and non-judicial foreclosures and exercise secured creditor remedies.
• Manage contested bankruptcy matters, UCC sales, and mezzanine loan enforcement.
• Defend financial institutions in lender liability actions, including breach of contract and fraud claims.
• Represent clients in arbitration proceedings and title insurance claims.
• Handle complex business disputes involving contracts, real estate, and shareholder disputes.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in the state of the office location or ability to obtain promptly.
• Minimum 8+ years of complex commercial litigation experience.
• Significant experience representing financial institutions, servicers, or lenders.
• Strong background in commercial real estate litigation and secured creditor remedies.
• Experience handling contested matters in both federal and state courts.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the state of the office location or ability to obtain promptly.
