Job Details:

Duties:

• Initiate and manage client relationships, gathering factual information to determine legal needs and efficiently progress through the court system.
• Prepare standard family law documents, propound, and respond to discovery.
• Conduct and defend depositions, with the readiness to take cases to trial when necessary.
• Regularly consult with clients and relevant parties.
• Provide leadership and direction to paralegals and legal assistants.
• Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Conduct monthly case reviews to ensure dedication to client cases.
• Document and relay all communication to clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Family Law Attorney.
• Ability to manage large caseloads efficiently.
• Proficiency in independent decision-making on a case-by-case basis.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective client and party consultations.
• Strategic thinking to develop and implement case strategies.
• Leadership qualities to guide paralegals and legal assistants.
• Relationship-building skills for client retention and expansion.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• Certification in Family Law is preferred.
