Employee Benefits Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will provide counsel to employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Counsel employers on a wide range of ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.
• Advise on retirement plans, health, and welfare plans.
• Draft and review plan documents, including summary plan descriptions and participant communications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide legal guidance on plan administration and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Assist with plan corrections and audits.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing employee benefits law.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA regulations and other relevant laws.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Active membership in the State Bar of California.
