A law firm seeks a Business Attorney with 5-10+ years of experience to join their team in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel on business transactions and corporate governance, contributing to the firm's longstanding reputation for excellence.

Duties

• Advise entities on formation and draft related formation documents.
• Draft and negotiate asset purchase and sale agreements, merger/acquisition documents, and develop business succession plans.
• Counsel clients on corporate governance, compliance, and strategic legal matters.
• Manage multiple client matters and transactions simultaneously.

Requirements

• 5+ years of in-house or law firm experience in business and transactional law.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and business succession planning.
• Licensed to practice law in Nebraska or eligible to become licensed in Nebraska soon.
• A portable book of business is a plus but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Nebraska.
