Duties

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court (EOIR).
• Prepare and file applications for relief, including asylum and adjustment of status.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys on case strategy and court preparation.
• Counsel and advise clients on removal defense strategies.
• Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda for cases.
• Participate in community legal clinics and workshops.
• Engage in ongoing trainings and CLEs on immigration law.

Requirements

• J.D. degree (or expected by May 2026).
• Member in good standing of a state bar or sitting for the July 2026 bar.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Strong legal writing ability.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Experience in immigration law or working with the immigrant community is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Certifications

• Bar admission or pending admission for 2026

Skills

• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle a caseload independently.
