Evaluate incoming litigation matters to formulate strategic plans, budget estimates, and procedural guidance
Determine necessary pleadings and collaborate with support staff on drafting responsibilities
Oversee discovery processes, including document production and drafting of discovery responses
Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and other procedural activities, followed by concise case reporting
Engage in settlement discussions and negotiations while obtaining authorization from appropriate stakeholders
Provide trial preparation support and courtroom advocacy when required
Coordinate closely with paralegals and legal administrative staff to ensure efficient case management
1-5 years of post-law school legal experience, preferably within insurance defense or general civil litigation
Active law license in good standing with the Virginia State Bar
Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads autonomously
Adept at prioritizing and multitasking within a deadline-driven environment
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Bar license required)
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and open to learning litigation-specific software platforms
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
High level of organizational competence and precision
Collaborative mindset with a client-centered approach
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
