Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, seeks a Corporate Debt Finance Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be adept at negotiating, structuring, and documenting debt finance transactions, particularly in leveraged buyouts and acquisition financing transactions involving private equity sponsors or lenders. Exceptional writing and analytical skills and prior experience in an Am Law 100 law firm setting are essential. Duties:

• Negotiating, structuring, and documenting debt finance transactions.
• Representing private equity sponsors or their portfolio companies, or lenders providing financing to such entities in leveraged buyouts and other acquisition financing transactions.
• Conducting legal research and analysis related to debt finance matters.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, agreements, and contracts.
• Providing legal counsel and support to clients on debt finance issues.
• Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff on complex transactions.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate debt finance.
• Familiarity with negotiating, structuring, and documenting debt finance transactions.
• Experience representing private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or lenders in leveraged buyouts and acquisition financing transactions is preferred.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Prior experience in an Am Law 100 law firm.
• Must have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school (classes 2019, 2020, or 2021).
• Admission to the Illinois Bar.
