Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of civil litigation cases from inception through resolution

  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and discovery documents

  • Conduct depositions and appear in hearings, arbitrations, and trials

  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and legal team members to shape case strategy

  • Maintain proactive communication with clients through status reports and updates

  • Research legal issues and draft memoranda to support litigation objectives

  • Work alongside senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation matters

Requirements:

  • 3-8 years of relevant litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense or similar practice areas

  • Prior judicial clerkship experience is advantageous

  • Admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or eligible for admission via UBE score

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and high-volume caseloads

  • Familiarity with all phases of litigation, including dispositive motions and discovery

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Sharp legal research and analytical thinking

  • Proficiency in motion practice and discovery procedures

  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities

  • Confidence in advocacy across pre-trial and trial proceedings

  • Collaborative mindset and solution-oriented approach
