Profile

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Trusts and Estates Attorney with portable business and substantial experience in the field.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and guidance on trusts, estates, and related matters.
• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
• Administer trusts and estates, including probate and trust administration proceedings.
• Handle estate and gift tax planning and compliance matters.
• Represent clients in trust and estate litigation, if necessary.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other professionals in the field.

Requirements:

• Portable business.
• Substantial experience as a Trusts and Estates Attorney.
• Admission to the State Bar in New York or eligibility for admission.
• Excellent understanding of trust and estate law, including relevant tax laws.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Education/Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar in New York or ability to become licensed.
• Certification in Trusts and Estates Law preferred.

Skills:
