Job Overview:

The Pre-Litigation Associate Attorney will oversee medical case management, negotiate claims, provide guidance on negotiations, and collaborate with firm leadership. The role involves supervising case managers, handling complex caseloads, and utilizing excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Duties:

• Accountable for medical case management, including case values and utilizing subject matter experts
• Supervise one or more case managers
• Provide guidance on negotiations and ensure the best strategies are utilized
• Act as a mentor to direct reports
• Collaborate with firm leadership on pre-litigation matters
• Assist with exceptional cases as needed

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Personal Injury trial experience
• Proficiency in writing, research, and negotiation
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to handle complex caseloads with minimal supervision
• Active membership in the local Bar Association

Skills:

• Superb negotiation skills and experience
• Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
• Public speaking skills for client interactions

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in North Carolina
