Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Miami, Florida is currently seeking an Associate Immigration Attorney to join its expanding legal team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a licensed attorney with 1 to 4 years of immigration law experience to take on meaningful work, manage a diverse caseload, and grow within a firm that values professional development and client advocacy. The attorney will work closely with a team of experienced legal professionals and report directly to the Senior Associate Attorney.

Duties:
Represent clients in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals for both detained and non-detained matters
Provide strategic legal consultations and explain complex immigration concepts to clients
Manage and advance an active caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
Visit detention facilities for client intakes and case preparation
Prepare and file immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense
Review legal documentation and client packets to ensure completeness and accuracy
Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony at USCIS interviews and immigration court hearings
Draft legal briefs and supporting documents for various immigration cases
Engage with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding immigration matters and updates
Requirements:
1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law
Ability to manage a caseload and effectively move cases forward
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Familiarity with EOIR, USCIS applications, family-based immigration, detained and humanitarian cases, and naturalization
Experience using case management software preferred
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in any U.S. state or jurisdiction
