Duties

• Consult with prospective clients and guide them through the estate planning process.
• Provide expert legal counsel and deliver superior estate planning and asset protection work products.
• Research, design, and execute complex estate plans, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
• Educate clients on retirement strategies, charitable giving, and insurance options.
• Guide clients through the probate process with clear, actionable advice.
• Represent clients in uncontested guardianship and probate hearings.
• Maintain detailed, organized client records for seamless service and compliance.
• Attend court proceedings as needed.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
• Proven ability to lead and manage in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, especially in high-stakes situations.

Education

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active North Carolina Bar license.

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of complex trust planning, probate, and trust administration.
• Experience with WealthDocx Estate Planning or ElderDocx Elder Law software preferred.
• Active involvement with the American Bar Association (ABA) preferred.
