Job Overview:
A leading global law firm is seeking highly motivated, mid-level Associates to join its nationally recognized Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Finance practice. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong experience in transactional law who are looking to take on a high level of responsibility within a collaborative and dynamic team. The position offers exposure to a wide range of complex commercial transactions, including M&A, leveraged buyouts, and corporate governance matters.
Location:

Duties:
Advise on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, leveraged buyouts, and general corporate matters
Draft and negotiate key deal documents, including purchase agreements, operating agreements, and governance documents
Conduct due diligence and manage transaction processes from initial structuring to closing
Collaborate with investment bankers, advisors, and clients to provide strategic legal counsel
Coordinate with subject matter experts across various practice areas
Manage client relationships and support business development efforts
Requirements:
4–6 years of experience at a sophisticated law firm, with a focus on corporate transactions and M&A
Proven ability to lead or support complex deals with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and in team-based settings
ESOP M&A experience or interest is a plus
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Strong academic performance preferred
Certifications:
Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (New York bar preferred for NY location)
Skills:
Deep understanding of corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, and governance issues
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Effective interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration
Familiarity with deal structuring, capital markets, and private equity is advantageous
