Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney/Senior Counsel

Profile

A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney/Senior Counsel to represent insurers in complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage matters. The candidate will develop litigation strategies, conduct legal research, analyze insurance policies, and manage all aspects of insurance coverage litigation.

Duties:

• Develop litigation strategy for insurance coverage disputes and class actions.
• Conduct complex legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda.
• Analyze insurance policies, provide coverage advice, and draft coverage analyses.
• Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions and attend court hearings and mediations.
• Supervise associates and paralegals and manage all aspects of pretrial to trial.
• Interact with clients and provide legal advice and recommendations.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in California.
• 8+ years of experience in insurance coverage litigation, particularly with commercial general liability policies.
• Experience with state and federal court proceedings.
• Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated legal expertise.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and mentoring experience.
