A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Bastrop, TX, to manage a docket of probate and estate planning matters. This position involves courtroom advocacy, legal writing, client management, and collaboration with senior attorneys and support staff.

Duties

• Represent clients in probate and estate planning matters from intake through final disposition.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis to develop strategies.
• Attend and advocate at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients.
• Ensure accurate documentation of case files and deadlines.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in probate and estate planning preferred (strong candidates with less experience will be considered).
• Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage a full caseload.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas.
