Duties

• Draft detailed and well-supported motions for attorneys' fees in state and federal courts.
• Prepare replies to oppositions with strong legal analysis and persuasive rebuttals.
• Argue fee motions at hearings, presenting lodestar justifications and addressing inquiries.
• Apply statutory fee entitlement provisions, including requests for multipliers and enhancements.
• Collaborate with the support team to collect time records and documentation.
• Manage and track a high-volume docket of deadlines and assignments.
• Attend fee motion and general hearings in support of the firm.
• Independently manage litigation caseload and perform other litigation-related duties.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 4+ years of litigation experience, with proven experience in fee motions.
• Deep understanding of fee-shifting statutes and lodestar methodologies.
• Exceptional writing, legal analysis, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational skills for managing high-volume, deadline-driven matters.
• Collaborative mindset and effective team-oriented department function.
• Comfortable interacting with judges, opposing counsel, and internal staff.
• Tech-savvy with modern case management systems and billing tools.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California State Bar license.
