The candidate will be reviewing medical records and understanding medical terminology. Interviewing clients to understand their case’s details, identifying issues, and determining a strategy for settlement or trial. Drafting legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement offers. Negotiating settlements with the other party’s attorney and/or insurance companies on behalf of clients. Preparing cases for trial by interviewing witnesses, acquiring evidence such as medical records, and conducting investigations. Helping clients prepare for mediation sessions or settlement conferences with opposing counsel. Educating clients about their legal rights and responsibilities throughout the process. Preparing and filing court documents such as complaints or motions. Representing clients in court proceedings such as trials or hearings regarding personal injury cases. Handling Medicare, Medicaid and private lien issues for clients in the context of a personal injury claim Representing clients in court proceedings such as trials or hearings regarding personal injury cases. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. License to practice law. Ability to conduct extensive research and having a detail-oriented approach. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong negotiation skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Highly motivated and reliable individual. Ability to make sound judgements. Ability to handle stressful situations and perform under pressure. Ability to offer improved customer experience.
