International Trade Compliance and Export Controls Associate

The candidate must have 5-7 years of international trade experience advising clients on compliance with US export controls, trade and economic sanctions, and anti-boycott controls. Specific experience advising US and non-US companies on licensing, enforcement actions, internal investigations and compliance audits, export classification, encryption, compliance due diligence in mergers and acquisitions and other cross-border transactions, and on the design, implementation, and administration of compliance programs is preferred. Should preferably have strong academic credentials, excellent analytical, communication and writing skills, and an ability and willingness to collaborate across teams and cultures. Major law firm experience strongly preferred. Must be admitted and a member in good standing of either the California Bar or District of Columbia Bar to apply.
