First Party Defense Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Tampa is seeking a First Party Defense Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in first-party or defense litigation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent writing, research, interpersonal, and communication skills, and be able to handle a large caseload that includes travel within the state of Florida.

Job Duties:

• Manage a large caseload of first-party defense litigation matters.
• Conduct legal research and writing for pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Travel within the state of Florida for case-related activities, including depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Provide high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the state of Florida.
• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in first-party or defense litigation.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent writing, research, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in the state of Florida.
