Civil Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented attorney to join its team in Albuquerque, NM. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in civil litigation, including both Plaintiff-side matters. Duties:

• Handle a variety of civil litigation cases on behalf of plaintiffs.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Manage a caseload, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate case resolution.
• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients throughout the litigation process.
• Participate in trials, hearings, and depositions as needed.
• Assist in all aspects of case preparation, including discovery, trial preparation, and settlement discussions.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Well-organized and attentive to detail.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New Mexico.
• Experience in Plaintiff-side litigation is a plus.
• Strong client relationship skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic background and legal writing experience.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New Mexico.
• Other state bar memberships are a plus but not required.

Skills:

• Legal research and writing expertise.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage case files and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in legal software and case management tools.
