A law firm seeks a junior associate to join its Real Estate Finance Practice Group in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, experience in large law firm settings, and excellent writing and communication skills.

Duties

• Engage in loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Manage transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
• Handle mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and asset management.
• Work on secondary market repurchase facility and other exit strategies.

Requirements

• Two to six years of broad real estate finance experience.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.
• Ambition, drive, and team-orientation to support a national practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.

Skills

• Superb writing and communication skills.
• Experience in large law firm environments.
