Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly experienced Employment and Labor Attorney to join their team as an Of Counsel in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in counseling and litigating on behalf of employers across various employment law matters, working closely with the Department Chair.

Duties

• Advise business clients on employment issues, including compliance and performance management.
• Defend employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies.
• Litigate and counsel on trade secrets, restrictive covenants, and employee mobility issues.
• Develop strategies to minimize legal risk and ensure compliance with employment laws.
• Draft and review employment agreements and workplace policies.
• Provide training and thought leadership on employment law developments.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar required.
• Admission to the New York Bar preferred; eligibility to waive in immediately if not admitted.
• Minimum of 10 years of employment and labor law experience.
• Proven ability to manage complex matters independently.
• Strong analytical, communication, and client relationship skills.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
• Admission to the New York Bar preferred.
