Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Tampa, FL, with a focus on construction litigation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of litigation experience, preferably in construction law, and will work closely with the Chair of the Construction department.

Duties

• Manage a substantial caseload of complex construction litigation matters.
• Collaborate with team members to strategize and execute effective litigation plans.
• Deliver exceptional client service through consistent communication and legal advice.
• Participate in pre-trials, trials, and hearings, representing clients effectively.
• Conduct legal analyses of issues in claims, requiring knowledge of applicable case law and statutes.
• Engage in direct communications with attorneys and clients via telephone and email.
• Engage in litigation-related events, including depositions, conferences, and hearings.
• Track and record time billed on claim-related tasks, reaching monthly goals.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 3+ years of experience in complex litigation, with a preference for construction litigation.
• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.
• Proficiency in ATO or equivalent case management software.
• Experience with billable hours and exceptional time management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctorate

• Florida Bar Admission/Member in Good Standing

• Ability to analyze facts and apply them to statutes and case law.
• Ability to verbally present case facts and defend positions.
