A reputable national law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Litigation Department in the Bloomfield Hills office. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2 to 6 years of litigation experience, particularly in handling complex commercial matters. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative legal team focused on high-level litigation strategy and execution.

Location:

• Bloomfield Hills, MI

Duties:

• Support the litigation team in handling complex commercial litigation matters

• Draft motions, pleadings, memoranda, and other legal documents

• Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses

• Assist with discovery, depositions, and case strategy

• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's offices as part of a national team

• Participate in client meetings and communications

Requirements:

• 2 to 6 years of litigation experience

• Demonstrated experience in complex commercial litigation

• Significant legal writing and research experience

• Strong academic record

• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar

• Must be admitted or eligible for admission to the Michigan bar

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Legal research proficiency

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities

• Proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines
