Legal Assistant
The candidate will conduct research to support legal proceedings at the courts or before the administrative tribunals. Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. Interview potential and existing clients to determine, identify some basic legal issues. Assist attorneys to conduct legal research, draft simple documents, present basic analysis of legal questions. Monitor or supervise some administrative staff members' work. Supervise administrative staff members to record, enter and store client information. English-Chinese bilingual a must. Should have previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field. Must have familiarity with legal research skills and expertise. Should have ability to prioritize and multitask. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should have deadline-meeting capability and detail-oriented. Must be highly adaptive to different tasks of different legal nature. Must have possession of strong common sense.
