A law firm seeks a Matrimonial and Family Law Partner in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in matrimonial and family law, with a strong focus on litigation and trial work. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of managing a high volume of cases and providing strategic guidance to support staff.

Duties

• Lead as 1st chair in matrimonial trials.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and conduct depositions.
• Appear in courts across Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk.
• Manage cases through the litigation cycle efficiently.
• Oversee case status, court appearances, and client interactions.
• Represent clients in divorce, custody, and child support matters.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in matrimonial law.
• Proven 1st chair trial experience.
• Admitted to the NY Bar.
• Experience in a family/divorce clinic or clerkship is advantageous.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admittance to the New York Bar.

Skills

• Exceptional writing and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication skills for client and court interactions.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook; familiarity with Litify is a plus.
