Duties

• Manage a caseload involving toxic tort and asbestos claims within the insurance defense framework.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions.
• Analyze complex medical and technical records.
• Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting insurance defense.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.
• 5+ years of litigation experience preferred; toxic tort/asbestos or insurance defense experience a plus.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
