Legal Compliance Senior Advisor- International Privacy Team
The candidate will report to the International Privacy Officer (IPO). As part of the International Privacy Office team, will support the IPO and by providing governance oversight for business units’ implementation of the enterprise privacy program, conducting privacy advisory services to the business, and managing privacy operations relating to incident management, security assessments, and individual rights. Responsibilities: will work closely with stakeholders in legal, technology, supply chain management, information protection, business functional teams, and other stakeholders to support and integrate corporate and regulatory data privacy requirements. Will be responsible for ensuring that local business unit privacy initiatives are consistent with firm's core values, the mission and vision of the program, and the expectations of key stakeholders, including regulators and enforcement agencies. Collaborate successfully with colleagues to facilitate business units’ privacy program, and to identify and effectively address privacy risks. Duties will include: Serving as privacy officer for assigned International Markets business units, including **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.'s GHB Americas business, and key business unit contact point for privacy related matters; Providing privacy advice regarding operationalizing requirements, including emerging risks, like cloud and localization, data governance, and evaluation of third-party relationships; Assist business personnel with risk evaluation to enable appropriate prioritization and risk/reward determinations; Developing privacy solutions and platforms for privacy requirements for business units in coordination with enterprise initiatives, policies, and positions; Developing incisive reports for leadership and the business units; Ensuring business units’ compliance with relevant global, federal and state privacy laws; Remaining apprised of legislative and regulatory developments in all markets in which the business units operate, including the United States, Canada, and Europe; Supporting privacy risk assessment and mitigation plan development; Assisting with the development of appropriate compliance policies and procedures that fulfil regulatory requirements and are informed by best business practices; Supporting internal governance and business compliance requirements, including development and maintenance of related documents and reporting; Supporting Enterprise Compliance and Internal Audit in privacy-related internal audits and reviews, and investigations of reports of potential instances of non-compliance; Support business units’ enterprise privacy initiatives such as quarterly reporting, auditing and testing, risk assessments, trend analysis, training, and creation of communications for business unit employees; Collaborating to develop and implement appropriate privacy compliance controls; and Respond to privacy inquiries from business clients, including for Requests for Proposals, questionnaires, and general inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
