Duties

  • Defend clients in government investigations and white-collar criminal defense matters, including medical malpractice litigation and regulatory audits.
  • Represent clients in federal court, managing both criminal and civil cases effectively.
  • Conduct investigations and litigation related to the False Claims Act, Virginia Fraud Against Taxpayers Act, and anti-kickback statutes.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for complex legal cases.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide legal counsel on compliance and regulatory issues.
  • Engage in mentoring junior attorneys and contributing to their professional development.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Virginia.
  • 7-15 years of experience in government investigations and white-collar defense.
  • Proven track record of defending complex cases in federal court.
  • Familiarity with healthcare law and prior experience as a federal prosecutor is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
