Job Overview

A distinguished law firm in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in complex commercial litigation, specializing in insurance coverage disputes within the commercial insurance sector. The attorney will manage all stages of litigation, from factual investigations and pleadings to depositions and client communications.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support insurance-related litigation.
• Prepare detailed pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitration sessions.
• Manage and prioritize a varied and demanding caseload.
• Collaborate closely with partners on high-stakes litigation matters.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, judges, mediators, arbitrators, and other stakeholders.
• Engage actively in strategy discussions and case planning to ensure the best outcomes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on insurance coverage.
• Proven track record handling cases involving commercial general liability, pollution liability, marine, directors and officers, professional liability, and errors and omissions.
• Extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including investigations, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Proficient in reviewing commercial insurance policies, drafting coverage evaluations, and composing reservation of rights letters.

Education

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with an excellent academic background.

Certifications

• Admission to the Arizona State Bar.
