Job Overview

A law firm seeks a well-rounded, highly motivated litigation attorney for its Buffalo, NY office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of experience, strong academic credentials, and a desire to gain trial experience. This role offers a broad experience base within a dynamic team environment.

Duties

• Prepare for trials, including strategy discussions, discovery, and client interviews.
• Conduct legal research and analyze business and worksite information.
• Draft briefs, memos, and client updates.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.

Requirements

• Active license and good standing with New York and/or New Jersey Bar (both preferred).
• Experience in asbestos, toxic tort, or product liability defense is highly desired.
• Previous litigation experience required.
• Participation in law review or moot court and prior deposition experience are a plus.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment with exceptional organizational skills.
• Self-starter capable of handling multiple projects with competing priorities.
• Client-focused mentality with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Ability to work flexibly and independently within a strong team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Active Bar License in New York and/or New Jersey.
