A law firm seeks a Senior Construction Litigation Attorney in White Plains, New York. The role involves managing a caseload of insurance defense, general liability, and construction-related litigation, including New York Labor Law matters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate legal proficiency and strategic insight, capable of independently managing cases through trial.

Duties

• Independently manage a caseload of construction litigation matters, including NY Labor Law claims, from inception through resolution or trial.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with partners and team members on case strategy and complex legal issues.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing timely updates, legal analysis, and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and firm standards.
• Utilize legal research tools and case management systems effectively.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• 7+ years of proven Labor Law construction experience.
• Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability matters.
• Demonstrated experience as first and/or second chair strongly desired.
• Advanced understanding of NY Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241), preferred.
• Experience with OSHA proceedings and regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Strong organizational and case management abilities.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
